Application
Construction site vibration measurement Example4
4. Measurement of vibrations from blasting in civil engineering and mining
Blasting operations may be performed for example during civil engineering work or on mining sites. The vibrations generated by blasting may affect the health of residents in surrounding areas, so it is necessary to implement proper countermeasures based on measurements of vibrations transmitted to the human body and to structures such as houses. The VM-56 supports the calculation of quantities as defined by measurement guidelines such as the DIN standard (DIN 45669-1: 2010-09) as well as the calculation of PVS and other data from the measured values. Simultaneous calculation of many parameters including PPV and VDV is also possible.
