Application
Construction site vibration measurement Example2
2.Unattended Long-Term Measurements
Carrying out continuous long-term measurements at a receptor or, perhaps, on a site boundary can demonstrate that vibration limits have/have not been exceeded during construction works. This can be a powerful way of demonstrating that vibration levels associated with the risk of building damage and/or significant adverse subjective response have, or have not, occurred.
The VM-56 is ideally suited to this task because it can store up to 200 days’ data as a CSV file onto and SD card. The VM-56 can be externally powered and the instrument and sensor are weather resistant (senor IPX7 and instrument IP54). Practical accessories, such as ground and wall mounting plates are available. The CSV data from the SD card can be opened directly into a spreadsheet program and an Excel macro is supplied free of charge to facilitate report creation.
