RIONOTE intuitive user interface
Lets the user select the required program for the respective purpose:
SX-A1FT (FFT analysis), SX-A1RT (octave band analysis), or
SX-A1WR (waveform recording). The right side of the screen provides
access to various settings.
RIONOTE calibration screen
Serves for calibration of microphones or accelerometers connected to the RIONOTE.
Waveform recording
By using the waveform recording program, it is possible to display and record the time waveform of the incoming signal(s). Available recording time depends on the number of input channels and the selected frequency range. The figure below shows a time waveform displayed on the screen of the Main Control Unit.

FFT analysis
RIONOTE enables you to perform FFT analysis on multiple channels simultaneously. The results are shown in clear graphs on the large color screen, in real time, or from stored data when using the recall function. A marker allows you to scroll through the data, and enables the readout of the level of a frequency of interest.
Transfer function
The transfer function represents the relation between an input signal and output signal in the frequency domain, allowing the determination of amplitude and phase.In this mathematical calculation category, the RIONOTE supports coherence function and cross spectrum processing.
 
Waveform post processing
After completing waveform recording (as explained above), the stored waveforms can be displayed on the Main Control Unit's large screen, and played back by using the earphone jack output. Moreover, various secondary post processing functions for the waveform data are available in the Main Control Unit, including FFT analysis as shown in the screen example below.

Octave band analysis
Real time analysis of noise or vibration levels for evaluation and designing countermeasures is usually performed by means of octave band analysis (using either octave bands or 1/3 octave bands). The below screen sample of the RIONOTE displays octave analysis results in 4 channels as a graph and numeric values at the same time.

Mail Notification Function

Receive an email when preset trigger conditions are met.

The email address is set up in the RIONOTE beforehand. The function is useful for example to alert
an operator at a remote site when a certain preset level has been exceeded.
*Additional equipment to connect the RIONOTE to a network is required.

Simultaneous Graphs

The program changes the upper limit on how many graphs
can be displayed simultaneously.

The standard setting of the RIONOTE is 4 graphs. This can be changed for example to 6 or 8 etc.

Display a Specific Measurement Value

Sets up the system to always show the value for a specified target.

This could be for example a specific band level or the overall level (SX-A1FT), or the all-pass level (SX-A1RT). The value will always be displayed in one of the graph areas.

Memo Input (Keyboard Input)

Easily add notes to each measurement.

The software keyboard of the RIONOTE can be used to enter notes into a project,
and the content of notes can be saved on SD card.

USB Camera Image Display &
Simultaneous Save

Save still images of the measurement setup.

Using a USB camera, images for example of the measurement setup can be displayed
on the screen and saved along with the measurement data.

Graph for Specific Band

Useful for identifying time based changes and trends.

The changes over time in a specified band can be displayed,
with time on the horizontal axis and level on the vertical axis.
(The specified band can be changed at the time of measurement.)

Graph Overlay Display

Easily view and compare data from different channels in real time.

The overlay display can show more than one channel in real time simultaneously.
Overlay display of real time and recalled data is supported as a function in Version 2.1.
*Overlay display requires that parameters are identical, such as octave band or 1/3 octave band selection, or number of analysis points for FFT analysis.
