Wireless Measurement System Helps to Ensure Safety at Hazardous Measurement Sites
Using the RIONOTE Multifunction Measurement System together with the Wireless Dock SA-A1WD allows performing measurements from a distance, for example at hazardous sites, locations that do not provide a stable footing, or locations where temperature or other ambient conditions are not suitable. Each SA-A1WD 1 unit has four inputs, and up to four units can be connected, resulting in a maximum of 16 channels available for measurement. Simultaneous 3-axis measurement (such as for two horizontal axis and one vertical axis) or measurement at multiple locations can therefore be easily realized. The handy notebook size and light weight (approx. 1.2 kg) of the RIONOTE unit make it easily portable, allowing it to be taken to a safe location at a distance from the measurement target but still within wireless range. While being transmitted wirelessly, the measurement data are also saved on an SD card in the amplifier unit of the wireless dock. This prevents data loss in case of an interruption of the radio connection during measurement. When the measurement is completed, the measurement data in the amplifier unit are downloaded to the RIONOTE unit.
